Why are mid-range smartphones better than high Range Mobiles

We all want the best of everything. Thus, we seek the best of the smartphones while wanting one. We save, push ourselves to pay EMIs etc. just to get the best phone on the market. We spend thousands of rupees to get the high-end smartphone.

However, it is also true that rarely any device do 100% of what we want it to do.

We shrug the truth that mid-range phones like Moto G, LG and Redmi are perfectly capable of doing precisely what we want our phones to do. Even though mobiles are status symbol extension to our daily lives; One won't purchase a Ferrari to do regular runs at the grocer.

Look at what you use to know what you need

Try a simple test that will show what you need in your next mobile:

1. Take a look at all the apps and grade them as per most used to least used. Most people use Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp, Snapchat, Linkedin a couple of Job search apps and Video entertainment apps. These apps work perfectly fine on all mobiles may it be the high-end expensive handset or a simple mid-range smartphone with adequate RAM size.

None of the apps on Google Play use the complete potential of the high-range smartphone. Only a few app do use the space on your phone. However, these phones are used by few people.

As for gaming, which is supposed to use phone's GPU to its limit, isn't able to unlock the phone's full potential. In fact, for the most games in the Play Store, most mid-range mobiles are capable of running these games.

Understand your smartphone better

There is a portion of the audience who are photography enthusiasts or seek superior gaming experience. The camera, processors and graphics are essential factors while making a purchase.

The mid-range phones are okay for rest of the mobile users who seek average camera quality and better graphics. The majority of people who take photos and share on social media can do so with mid-range phones as well.

Do you play the most demanding games on your phone and use apps that test the various components or your phone? Or do you need a smartphone that manages your day to day tasks? Your answer to these questions will help you to make the best decision on whether to buy an expensive yet powerful high-end device or perfectly capable mid-range phone.

Are you satisfied with your smartphone and using it to its full potential? Or maybe you want to change to a new device to better suit you use?
